The term FTL Transport refers to ‘Full Truckload Transport’, which is a logistics term used to describe when a truck is fully loaded with goods from a single shipper and transported to a single consignee. In this type of transport, the truck is not shared with other shipments from other shippers or recipients.

FTL transport is usually used for the transport of large quantities of goods that cannot be accommodated in a part load or LTL (Less Than Truckload) transport. This type of transport offers advantages such as low transport costs per unit as well as a faster turnaround time, tighter planning and less chance of damage to the cargo because loading and unloading takes place only once during transport.
