The farmers participating in Tulip Date introduced themselves earlier in filmpjes. These were widely shared and viewed. As a result, the farmers are regularly recognized, says Margot Maljaars. “I know that the farmers are being approached outside of our program. They tell the ladies that they have to write a letter. But I know that two farmers have already secretly gone on dates.” Zo streng als bij het televisieprogramma Boer Zoekt Vrouw gaat het er dus niet aan toe al wordt er wel een geheel verzorgde date geregeld. “De boer mag drie vrouwen uitkiezen met wie hij een deel van de Tulpenroute gaat rijden. Dit gaat in een oud Dafje langs de tulpenvelden. Ondertussen moeten ze ook opdrachten doen.”
