In 2022, Van Dooren Transport will once again support the Bollenstreek team 'De Vrijbuiters' with a truck to collect as much money as possible for Alpe d'HuZes. The trailer has 180 compartments that have been offered to sponsors for €250 each. The end result is a fantastic total of over €45,000.

Van Dooren Transport also offered this opportunity to the Team in 2012, 2013, 2018, 2019, and 2020. The total proceeds from the truck campaigns over the years now stand at approximately €250,000. It is wonderful that we have been able to achieve this with the team and with many sponsors from our network. We would therefore like to thank all sponsors for their support in our joint fight against cancer. 

Team de Vrijbuiters

The team consists of members who mainly come from the Dune and Bulb Region. They have been participating in this wonderful event since the 3rd edition of Alpe d’HuZes in 2009. Alpe d’HuZes

Alpe d’HuZes is a unique sporting event in which participants try to raise as much money as possible for cancer research and improving the quality of life with cancer. In one day, approximately 5,000 participants cycle, walk, run, or hike up Alpe d'Huez a maximum of six times, under the motto “giving up is not an option.” Would you like to find out more about Alpe d'Huzes? Kilometer charge Netherlands 2026
On July 1, 2026, a truck toll will be introduced in the Netherlands. On this page, we will discuss the associated changes. This new kilometer charge applies to all highways, a number of N-roads, and some local roads near larger cities. The tax is mandatory for trucks with a gross vehicle weight of more than 3.5 tons, regardless of whether they have a Dutch or foreign license plate. This kilometer tax will bring about a number of important changes and will have a significant impact on the transport sector.
