DAF XF Euro 6
Yes, you read that right!!! Van Dooren Transport has lost its faith... We have invested in three new DAF XF EURO 6 tractors.
Those who know the trucks know that we have been loyal DAF CF users for years. The main reason we drove/drive a CF is because the cab entry is a bit friendlier (2 steps instead of 3) and the visibility around the cab is somewhat better because the driver sits a bit lower on the road. With the new 13 liter Euro-6 models of the CF, the advantage of the 3 steps was already gone, because this cab was already equipped with 3 steps. This is because the Euro-6 engine takes up a bit more space for extra cooling, EGR, etc. The reason to switch to the XF is because our drivers are driving more and more internationally, driving longer distances and spending more nights in the cab. Overnight stays in an XF cab are somewhat friendlier than in the CF cab. Although the CF cab is also very spacious with a standing height of approximately 2 meters, the comfort for the drivers in the new XF cab is even better. The XF has a wider bed, is higher and wider internally, comes standard with slightly more options and a more luxurious driver's seat. In short, plenty of reasons for us to switch from the CF to the XF cab.
Naturally, with the new cab, we also had to rethink the advertising. A larger cab also means adjusting the dimensions of the lettering. The new cab will soon be revealed on this page. We will also keep you updated on the progress of the cab installation via our Facebook page. Naturally, the mechanics at Van Dooren Trucktechniek take care of the installation and lettering of the tractors.
