In early 2013, during an editorial meeting at Bollenstreek Intobusiness, it was suggested that, as part of this element of CSR, an inventory be made of companies that are visibly socially engaged. The editorial team thought it would be a good idea to approach business and friends clubs of sports associations and social institutions for this purpose.

CO2 reduction – The New Way of Driving – Driving Style Assistant

In February 2013, Van Dooren Transport started the CODE 95 course The New Way of Driving at Hoekstra Verkeersopleidingen in Alkmaar. This training, combined with Trimble's driving style assistant, aims to achieve a 5% reduction in CO2 emissions. The initial findings are positive.
