Roy van Schie from TRS transportkoeling gave a demonstration at Van Dooren Transport of a new product they supply. A system that makes it possible to power a standard refrigerated trailer (in this case a Burg Silvergreen) hydraulically and electrically with a Start-Stop system. This results in savings on fuel costs, maintenance costs, and CO2 emissions.

BRUSSELS/THE HAGUE – Longer and heavier trucks should be allowed to cross the border into Europe. That is the opinion of CDA MEP Corien Wortmann-Kool. She points to the many advantages in a study presented on Thursday to the European Parliament's Transport Committee.

The spring of 2013 will go down in history as one of the coldest in the history of weather measurements.
